Red Stemmed Parrot's Feather

Myriophyllum brasiliensis 'Red stem'

Bright green feathery foliage with red stems. An excellent oxygenator that will also grow above the pond surface. It is good for providing habitat for small fish and wildlife. This is not to be confused with the invasive plant "Myriophyllum Proserpinacoides".

This plant is evergreen and will retain some stems/leaves throughout winter.

Supplied as a weighted bunch, this requires planting soon after arrival. Partially bed the thickest ends into aquatic soil and pin down where necessary to keep it from floating out. The plant will then send out roots.

For an extra £1, this plant is available rooted and potted into a 9cm pot here.

The recommended depth in water is calculated as the distance between the top of the basket and the water surface. Therefore "0" would be the basket rim at the water surface.
