Available in many sizes, air pumps are an essential addition to any well-stocked pond. These inexpensive pumps can often be a lifesaver should your main filter pump stop working. They cost little to run and not only add oxygen in hot weather but the bubbles will help keep a hole in the ice during winter. Air pumps also help with the reproduction of beneficial filter bacteria and can help your pond to mature quickly. They also provide essential surface movement for fish ponds and enable harmful gasses to exit the water quicker.
